Kennel Union of South Africa Recognises the Boerboel as a Pedigree Breed

The South African Boerboel is at long last been instated by KENNEL UNION of SOUTH AFRICA as a Recognized BREED in its own right since January 2006 !!!!!!!

This is a great beginning for our dogs. To be able to stand beside every other breed in the show ring.

Over quite a number of years the Boerboel has been restricted to the South African Boerboel Ass for Ratings, Appraisal, Judging, Registering and Breeding Standards.

The Boerboel as a purely local breed has never been reconised by International Associations and Afiliations.This has been a disadvantage to spreading the knowledge of the Boerboels internationally.

Over recent years there have been attempts by a very few South African breeders to introduce the South African Boerboel to Kennel Union of SA as a South African breed.

These attempts have finally come to fruition in the last few weeks; because in early January 2006 KUSA is finally reconised the Boerboel as an admissible breed.

We at Induna Boerboel are of course overjoyed at this recognition from KUSA and are of course taking full advantage of our ability to become involved in KUSA Shows.
This has opened up a whole new world for the South African Boerboel which will result in it’s gaining exposure on the international stage.

Induna Boerboels as a breeder is proud to have had the oppourtunity to spearhead the introduction of the Boerboel into the KUSA show ring in Gauteng!!!

Not only are the Boerboels themselves enjoying the fun of the show ring and interrelating with breeds of different shapes, sizes and colours. We at Induna are finding the entire KUSA experience highly enjoyable and loads of fun.

We have found that joining in the KUSA community has been and is a very rewarding experience both management and general members of the assotiation has been more than co-operative in welcoming us into the community and showing us the ropes.

We look forward to many future years of association with KUSA and it’s International associates.
